2024 Historic Hastings Car Show Information

The Hastings Downtown Business Association along with the Hastings Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Bureau are extremely excited to announce the return of the 18th Annual Historic Hastings Car Shows in 2024!

Join us on 2nd Street in downtown Hastings the 3rd Sunday of every month May through October from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. 

Guests can enjoy music, food trucks, shops & local restaurants while checking out a variety of classic cars. 

Dates:  

• Sunday October 13th 2024- 2nd Sunday of the month - Judged Show

Time:

• 11am-4pm

Here is what you need to know:

• The show is limited to classic cars & trucks from 1985 and older. 

              (No motorcycles at this time)

• Entrance for display cars is the cross streets of Tyler & 2nd Street East. You can park and wait in the Depot Park parking lot until gates open
• Gates open for display cars at 10 a.m.. Cars will be parked on a first come, first serve basis.

Thank you all for your comments. Our change to Sundays (going into our 4th year in 2024) was not made without a lot of discussion and consideration by the businesses and restaurants downtown. There are many reasons why we switched the car shows to Sunday. I will try to explain.
“Easy transition for the incoming cars” We don't have to ask shoppers to move from their parking spots in the middle of the afternoon like we did on Saturdays to make way for the cars coming in. Some people were actually in the middle of dining and asked to leave the restaurant to move their cars. On Sundays, the streets are closed before everything opens.
“Volunteers” We also struggled greatly trying to get volunteers to help park cars and monitor gates for shows. We welcome all volunteers.
“Longer shows” The Sunday shows are longer and give spectators and participants more time to enjoy the show.
“More families attending” Sunday shows seem to appeal to families as well. We notice a lot more children in attendance with their families. These are our future car fans so sharing a love of old cars with the next generation helps promote its future.
